Chase Elliott won the pole for Sunday's Quaker State 400 at Atlanta Motor speedway and led Ross Chastain and the rest of the field to the green flag to start stage 1.
Because practice and qualifying were rained out, a competition caution was thrown at lap 25 with Elliott still in the lead.
Alex Bowman had a huge run off of turn 4 on the last lap of stage 1 but Chase Elliott blocked him to hang on to the stage win.
Tyler Reddick led the start of stage 2 on lap 66.
A caution came out on lap 31 of stage 2. Martin Truex Jr. was turned by Chastain and collected multiple cars for the 'Big One'.
Opting not to pit during the caution, Harrison Burton and Ricky Stenhouse restarted on the front row on lap with 61 to go in Stage 2.
Chase Elliott retook the lead with 7 laps to go in stage 2.
Bowman brought out a caution in the final lap of stage 2, and Chase Elliott won the stage.
Again, due to differing pit strategies, Austin Cindric and Aric Almirola led the pack to the start of the final stage.
Christopher Bell lost a wheel after exiting the pits under caution with 22 laps to go.
Chastain got into the back of Denny Hamlin which brought out the caution with 15 laps to go.
On a restart with 3 laps to go, Corey Lajoie took the lead away from Martin Truex Jr.
Elliott retook the lead with 2 laps remaining, and put a huge block on Lajoie which ultimately caused another caution. As the White flag had already flown, the race was considered official, and Chase Elliott was declared the winner!
