30 Second Read: 2024 Shriners Children's 500

The Shriners Children’s 500 began with Denny Hamlin on the pole and his teammate Ty Gibbs beside him on the front row.


An incident on lap 9 involving Derek Kraus, Austin Cindric and Austin Dillon brought out an early caution.


Tyler Reddick passed Gibbs for the lead on lap 58 and won Stage One.


Later in stage two, the fight for the lead was heating up with Christopher Bell battling Reddick with 12 laps to go in stage two.


Bell completed the pass for the lead with 5 laps to go and won Stage Two.


Kyle Busch brought out the caution spinning on the exit of turn 2 on lap 200.


John Hunter Nemechek made contact with Joey Logano, turning him around and collecting Corey Lajoie, Zane Smith and also bringing out the caution.


Hamlin made contact with Reddick while fighting for the lead on lap 215, leading him to spin on his own and bring out another caution.


With 91 laps remaining, Erik Jones got into the wall after going 4 wide next to Bubba Wallace, but the race stayed green.


Bell retook the lead with 40 to go with some green flag pit stops taking place.


Bell hung on to win the Shriners Children’s 500.
