30 Second Read: Coca-Cola 600

Memorial Day weekend - aka "The Greatest Day in Motorsports" ends each year with the NASCAR Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.


Denny Hamlin and Kurt Busch started on the front row bringing the field to the green flag.


Kyle Busch spun after making contact with Daniel Suarez on lap 45 battling for the lead.


Chase Elliott took the green checkered flag, capturing Stage 1.


Elliott was leading Stage 2 with 35 laps to go but the caution came out for Kyle Larson as he slid into the infield off turn 4.


The big one struck with less than 10 to go in Stage 2. Ryan Blaney lost control in turn 2 collecting a number of cars behind him.


Daniel Suarez held off Ross Chastain and Erik Jones to win Stage 2.


Caution number 13 was brought out by Noah Gragson with 46 laps remaining in Stage 3. He was running in the top 10 before spinning off of turn 4.


Ross Chastain collected the Stage 3 win.


A red flag was brought out after caution number 16 with 55 laps to go, as Chris Buescher wrecked and flipped several times in the infield grass.


It took two overtimes and an extra 19.5 miles over the scheduled distance, but Denny Hamlin held off a hard charging Kyle Busch to win his first Coca-Cola 600.
