ICYMI: Denny Hamlin Will Miss Mexico City After Birth of Son; Granted Waiver From NASCAR

Denny Hamlin will miss Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race in Mexico City after the birth of his son on the 11th. We’re excited for him and glad he’s staying home to support his fiancée and spend time with family. Ryan Truex will step in to drive the No. 11 Yahoo Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing in Denny’s absence. NASCAR has already granted Hamlin a playoff waiver, so he’s still eligible for the 2025 postseason. With three wins and currently sitting third in points, we’ll see how the rest of his strong season unfolds.
