ICYMI: Spire Motorsports Founder TJ Puchyr to Buy Rick Ware Racing; Rick Ware to Stay on as Partner

Rick Ware Racing has been sold to T.J. Puchyr, co-founder of Spire Motorsports, marking a major shift in the NASCAR world. Even though T.J. stepped away from Spire recently, he's back and plans to turn RWR into a three-car Cup Series team by 2027. Rick Ware will stay on as a partner, his son Cody will keep driving the No. 51 Ford, and all current employees will remain with the team. The second charter, currently leased to RFK Racing, is expected to return in 2027, despite a legal dispute with Legacy Motor Club.
